On the 18th day of Festivus, Humble Bundle gave to me…..
We are officially one week away from Christmas, AKA “champ1822 gets jack from his family because they don’t love him anymore” day *SOBS*. Let’s try to ignore the fact that I’m getting no presents this year, and use today’s alcohol games to drink play away our problems!
Pizza Titan Ultra (14.99)– Oh. My. God. PTU is one of those games you didn’t think you wanted, but you really did. After playing the game once, I can safely say that this- no joke- is easily one of the best games of the bundle. You play as a giant anime mech that delivers pizza. The main antagonist is a Chuck E. Cheese robot that came from space. I think I said enough.
Tross (4.99)– A game with a cool concept- you play as a ship that goes into a computer to destroy a virus. However, the controls and mechanics leave somethings to be desired, as their really wonky. For example, if you overheat your weapon, your whole ship will freeze up. A difficult game that will take some time getting used to.
Last Encounter (14.99)– Wow- another decent game! This one is a rouge lite with spaceships where you maneuver though various zones, searching for keys while shooting enemies with twin-stick controls. Very playable, and very easy to pick up! Has an interesting story and lore as well.
FINAL VERDICT– You know what. I’m going to do it. 4/5. Bam. That’s right- Both Pizza Titan Ultra and Last Encounter make up for Tross’s shortcomings to give us a rare score. Easily one of the best days of the Bundle thus far! Keep it up, uh…. who runs this thing, anyway? Yogscast, or Humble Bundle? There’s just too many questions.
