On the 16th day of Festivus, Humble Bundle gave to me…..
2 games. Both pretty simple. Cheap. Eh. Still better then DLC, but I feel like this bundle is slowly running out of steam (no pun intended! No seriously. There is no pun here. Leave.) So here we go again!
CubeLink (4.99)– A simple but effective puzzle game where you rotate a cube and connect colors. Not a bad offering, though a bit basic.
R-Coil (4.99)– A retro inspired arcade shooter in the vein of Geometry Wars that actually has arcade mechanics for once! You know- limited lives, no continues, etc. However, the controls leave more to be desired, as the button used for thrusting is the same one you use for shooting- and no, this cannot be changed. Seems likes a misstep. Still a pretty good attempt at capturing the feel of an old arcade game.
FINAL VERDICT– Eh. Despite only 2 simple games today, I think I’ll today a 2.5/5. They were both playable to a degree, and not to offensive to my senses. A solid attempt!
