On the 12th day of Festivus, Humble Bundle gave to me…..
We’re half way there (pretty much)! We got a lot of actually decent games, few repeats, and only small doses of DLC- this one is actually shaping up to be the best one yet! Today is no different, as we have 3 games for today’s advent! Let’s get down to business!
The Haunting of Billy (7.99)– A strange side scrolling rogue lite where you can equip enemies body parts and use them as your own- each with their own stats and buffs. Another unique game in the bundle that I find interesting! I really do like the fact that this bundle is giving me games I wouldn’t have found otherwise!
Marvin’s Mittens (9.99)– A whimsical metroidvania like game with a fantastic cartoony artstyle that reminds me of those Charlie Brown cartoons. This fits this bundle perfectly with its wintry atmosphere and overall cheerful tones.I think we have a real winner on our hands!
Sorcery! 3 (9.99)– Okay, this one is cool- it’s like a pen and paper game where move around a map and random events happen, much like the different kinds of cards in the game “Hand of Fate”, if you ever played that. Also, I followed the games plot completely, despite it being the third game in the series. Another cool game!
FINAL VERDICT– As Ice Cube would say, today was a good day. All three games seemed to pique my interests, and I will definitely be playing them in the near future. 3.8/5!
Here are some random stats about the bundle thus far-
- 37 Games (Expansions like the various Anomaly one’s are counted as their own game)
- 1 Coupon
- 3 DLC Packs
- 3 Repeats
- 12 Days I flubbed something up while writing these entries
Like I said, this Jingle Jam is shaping up to be far superior to last years. Less DLC. Less Tower Defense Games. Less useless coupons. Less “throwaway” titles. Hopefully, it gets even better as we progress towards Christmas day!
