Yogscast Jingle Jam 2017- Day 21

Yogscast Jingle Jam 2017- Day 21

On the twentyfirst day of Christmas, Humble Bundle gave to me…

A $23 value

Today, we got two games, and a soundtrack. The two games are actually pretty good- but the soundtrack baffles me.

First, let’s talk about the games. Off the bat, we got Clusterpuck 99, a strange soccer esque game where you can control pucks. I almost groaned in displeasure- yet another local multiplayer centric game that uses controllers- they easily could of called this the “Local Multiplayer Controller Bundle” because that is what a lot of games are! However, after playing this game, I was very pleased- it was easy to pick up and play, had bots (so I can actually play it!), loads of different levels, and even a level editor! Very cool. Very cool.

Next, we have a little platformer with great graphics called Chronology, where you play as this little dwarf fella trying to fix time, and the main draw being able to control time with the press of a button. Pretty interesting- another keeper!

Finally, I want to talk about the soundtrack. I don’t get it- why give us the soundtrack for a game? It seems strange- especially when the soundtrack is a $8 value! Chronology was only five bucks! Then it comes to the delivery of said soundtrack- you are given a drm free download link, but if want it in your steam account- you have to actually own the game! This is so strange. Again, the game wasn’t that much (about $15) why not just give us the game? A lot of games in this bundle came with the soundtrack. It’s just off to me.

Before my score, a small progress report. I have done the math, and so far, from what I have calculated, we have received give or take $522 worth of games and content. That means that we have at least $300 to $374 worth of stuff coming in the next four days, as the even ends on Christmas. Thats a mean of $75-$93 a day,  I have a feeling this isn’t going to end well- there is no way that they would give out that much in such a short time! But ya know, its for charity, so whatever. I just don’t liking getting ripped off- I will go all scrooge on you!

Anyway, today’s offering was actually not to shabby. I’ll give a 3 out of 5 again.

What do you think? Is this Humble Bundle a good deal so far, or is it another disappointment? Sound off in the comments below! Or don’t. I’m fine either way…
